Blue Sky Thinking. (2) - Dust & Cobwebs
Okay, I have to admit it [takes a deep breath, here goes:] - I have a background in technology, evolving in the time before the personal computer, through the age of early desktops, then stepping up from the 'small stuff' to complex multi-site networks comprising the usual range of desktop & workstation solutions plus high availability mini-mainframe platforms supporting all aspects of a large multinational manufacturing company's operations involving integrated supply chain logistics with a high profile global customer base [exhale, well that's out of the way!] .
Being involved in numerous collaborative projects over the years consumed many air-miles, swelling my carbon feet beyond recognition, so why would I even consider myself to be a technophobe ? ..... I do tend to prefer non-technical solutions to technical problems wherever possible, but I see that as being the logical, low cost, easy approach - why employ complexity when simplicity does the job just as well, or even better? ...
Quandary settled then. Luddism concerns fade away and relevant conversations find themselves parked in a dusty corner of a heavily cobwebbed mind ...
